Award-winning audiovisual design.
As audiovisual designer, Josephine Hayes played a pivotal role in the design of immersive visuals for Theatre 180’s critically acclaimed Cinemastage production of A.B’s autobiography, ’A Fortunate Life’.
This groundbreaking production won the 2021 Performing Arts WA award for ‘Best Stage Design’. Live performances of ‘A Fortunate Life’ are continuing into 2023.
In collaboration with regional and metro writers, actors, artists and technicians, Gneiss Design cultivates new ways of storytelling – combining audiovisual projection, live theatre and cinema.
Gneiss Design’s work designing immersive screen content for live theatre productions has led to audiovisual design projects showcasing in Perth State Library and Burt Hall, with exciting cinematic theatre projects on the horizon.
“…this is no mere backdrop, it is an immersion. With such flawless sound, lighting, and visuals the piece serves as a film fully realised in flesh and blood – as though the actors have stepped out of the screen and are viscerally immediate to the audience…”
